Okay people; is anyone going for gathering Tee Em Arh? (TMR, tomorrow.)
Because, we can all bring cameras and facebook everything. Then we don't have to make Shammah - who still hasn't uploaded the 6A cum 6C picture yet - do it.
It's really stressful to take a bunch of pictures on your camera and everyone wants it, and you have to put it in a place where everyone can gain access to it.
So for those who're going tomorrow, you can bring CAMERAS! Then take loadsa pictures and post 'em on facebook. For the people who don't have facebook accounts / deleted their accounts, I can try to upload all of 'em here. -horrors-
OR, those who want pictures can tell me and I can mail it to them. ... Via the internet.

6A Gathering

Hello.
Many people are asking how to go there (West Coast Park) in the tagboard. I was thinking that as many of us as possible can meet up and go together.

We're meeting at 2pm on 17 December, outside CCK MRT station near the many signboards (if you get what I mean).
We're probably waiting till 2.15pm before leaving but that isn't an excuse for you to be late...

We're taking MRT to Clementi and then bus 175 to West Coast Park. That's the easiest and fastest way I can think of.
So if you want to come, tag on the tagboard and I'll take note, if not we won't wait for you if you're late.

101 reasons NOT TO CHANGE THE SCHOOL SONG

1) A school song is supposed to exist with the school forever because it's our identity.

2) It may seem like we are changing with the times and that as a newer school, the school song isn't really important to show our heritage. But if you change once, next time, other princpals will keep changing and our school song will no longer be able to show our history.

3) The alumni of Concord will feel somehow lost and sad that our alma matre has changed and slowly, it will not be the school we used to study in but a total different one with the same name.

4) It is toooooooooo long to sing.

5) The present Concordians have to re-memorise the school song and this adds on to their already piling up homework.

6) It causes the students to think that actually, the school song is unimportant and can easily be changed and slowly, disregard the other symbols of the school.

Looking out of the window, I see the sunlight. I remember, once, we sat in the school field together, moaning about the PE lessons.

Do you remember the times we called each other practically everyday? I remember we could always tell who was at the other end and although we called each other everytime, when one of us wanted to call the other, she would want to do so at the same time too, just like twins with 'twin sense'.

We understood each other so well that we could fill up each other's sentences, understood each other with some weird sign languages that we never put a definition to. It was as if we shared thoughts. How I miss having someone who never needed an explanation for everything I do.

Truly, all those times had come to an end. But why? Why to this extent? I don’t want to accept this. I really don’t.

Living each day in the past has strained all my energy. I don’t want to forget all the times we had, I don’t want to leave.

They say that all the memories of childhood friends will never last long. They say that the friends I had will no longer exist. Will they really disappear?

In my heart, I know one day, I must accept reality and move on. But moving on and forgetting are not the same. Aren’t they?

“Friends forever,” you once said. Where are you now? Why do we so seldom speak? Are we still friends after graduation? Are we still friends?

Looking out of the window now, I wonder what you see. Do you still remember me? Am I still in your heart? Or just a fleeting memory? Or a passer-by in your life?

Hi people!
In case you did not receive any message, the Concord Heartbeat 2007 is out!
Some of us (like me) have to get it from the school because we don't have any younger siblings studying in Concord now. Though I already went to get it =)

OK, so how do you get it?

1)Simply go back to Concord, tell the security guard that you are going in to get your Concord Heartbeat. (I think you better wear your uniform there...)
2)Go to the general office and tell the person there that you want to get a copy of the Concord Heartbeat.
3)She will bring out a list and ask for your class last year.
4)Then she will look for your name and check if you have any siblings currently in Concord studying.
5)After that she will ask for your student pass (EZ-Link card) and she will double-check your name and particulars.
6)FINALLY she will give you the book and the CD!

OHWELL. fiona don't complain lah, school sucks for most of us. i get frikking released at 5 or 6 every single day and i usually stay up till twelve plus for projects or homework. so really, no one's having a good time.

but no, i don't think it's the schools! we're all probably just getting adjusted to secondary school life and all. AND BAND ROCKS OKAY. just that my school doesn't have a band, or i'm not allowed to join. oh what the heck i've began rambling.

Yay, it's my turn. I'll make it fast though, I have homework to do. =)

NYGH is quite ok to me now, now that I'm used to the waking up so early and stuff. I didn't really like the school in the first few weeks because I was not used to the school environment yet. And yes, I am quieter now.

However, unlike what Fiona said, I don't really hate my school now as hey, who wants to hate your school of the next four years? Anyway I'm more used to secondary school life now, having found new friends and all.

My grades. Well... you can't say that they are very good, I failed some of my assignments to be frank. Maybe I'm not used to it or that my grades dropped or something. However, I'm not really very bothered about my grades. We all just entered into secondary schools a few months ago, maybe I'm not used to the workload and exam standards etc yet.

The homework. Pretty much different from primary school. More in amount and more difficult to understand, in my opinion anyway. And we have a lot more subjects now, so I think my brain is not used to doing so many subjects at one go. We have alot of projects too, both in different subjects and same subjects. Currently I am working on a 30min Geography presentation with my group...

That's about all. I really hope you guys are doing well, maybe better than I am! =)

yay, this blog is happily alive again. i shall make another gallant attempt to get shammah to change the blog skin. we've been using the same one since P5 .__.

i'm taking time of my !@#$% music project to do this since i don't like it. and it's due tomorrow XD

anyone game for a class outing? that is, if anyone even has time for that. i'm only free on sundays :/ i think everyone is as busy? lol.

Ok... well. Nanyang is probably so GOOD in your eyes. It was like that in mine too. I used to like it, now I think I hate it more than Jun Hui does. I don't mean I hate the people in there, like Teachers and students. Other than people, more can be found in the school and it's that 'more' which blasts my head out of sanity. What's the 'more'? The stupid projects and stress and everything else.

Of course, I know that you guys have stress too but I dunno, from what I asked Marsiat, most of the homework you get should be like worksheets, book reviews, more worksheets, like those we did in Primary School, those straightforward worksheets, although they are extremely tedious. Maybe the number of homework I get doesn't go as high as yours but the amount of work we put in it no lesser, if not more. Like some stupid Maths project in which we have to find out about some interesting topic, like The Mobius Strip (don't go 'huh?' at this term. It refers to a strip which has only one side, one edge and one boundary. Sounds crazy?) and cryptology, the study of codes (a Must-know for hackers). That's just Maths. For English, we had this Storytelling SIA which we had to do a personal recount and tell it in front of two classes, one which we totally do not bond and the other is our own. I was 'too creative' and 'too dramatic' but when I asked a senior in Chinese Drama (Yep, that's my current CCA. I switched. I'll tell you why in a sec)and she said when she did that Storytelling thing in Sec 1, her classmate who was 'very dramatic' and 'very creative' got 24/25 while I got a miserable B4. Ok, I know I passed and many failed but you know what? I'm not like Marsiat who can get A1 in EVERY SUBJECT. I failed lots of assignments, quizzes and God knows? Maybe my block Tests (which are like CA1s.)

For CCA, Band was crazy. I had to learn the euphonium in 2 months! I didn't even know how to buzz! 2 months which is like, 16 lessons, 2 1/2 hours each time. How was I going to cope with memorising the chords and memorising for the other subjects? Then the saviour Dentist told me I had to have braces because... and I shouldn't play the eupho. It would hurt my gums. So I wanted to switch instruments but the seniors turned from nice people to scary and frightening people. So i wanted to get out form band but the instrutor wasn't going to let me off so easily and placed me in percussion instead. Gosh. I was supposed to learn ALL the instruments in 1 and a half months now! gosh. That's 6 weeks. Crazy. So i got out of band and landed in Chinese Drama. It's quite slack casue i'm not acting but I might get a role. That sounds really really fun as for skits in CPS i was ALWAYS the narrator and neve the one acting but it means I have to have LINES! and it sucks that i cannot do my homework after finishing props and while watching them act. sigh. But it's better than Band. i dunno why some people love it to bits. I don't mind not getting to go overseas, like japan with band. I can go in Sec 3 with My Japanese Class.

Sorry if it's too long. I just type and type and type. Well, I need to get back to my Jap. Wish me luck and that i'll still be the same bubbly Fiona after weeks of torture in NYGH. Maybe i've changed. I'm like, getting a little quieter and quieter. I don't seem to pester Jun Hui anymore if she doesn't want to talk. oh well.

since kimberly has so kindly made an attempt to revive the blog, i shall too! except i don't really think i'll be able to do a good job because many of the things i talk about now really has no relavance to concord primary or anything we did back then 'cos seriously, we're all in different schools now and we can't be ranting about our secondary schools right? because then NOBODY would understand us!

anyway, i really miss you guys. well okay some of you guys! and i think i will contradict myself now. why don't we all post a little about our schools and stuff so we're still in contact and we still know what's going on in each other's lives? okay, maybe i'll start! :D

SOTA, as fun as it sounds, is very VERY tiring. they are evil and let us out of school at 545 from monday to thursday. it is NOT pleasant. but we spend a lot of time drawing and painting away, so maybe it isn't too bad.

the teachers are pretty cool, except some of them can be pretty cuckoo. e.g. my form teacher who proposed to another teacher after going out for 2 months. TWO MONTHS!

yup okay i predict that everyone's looking at me with a raised eyebrow, thinking "what the hell is shammah going on about now?!" so i guess i'll stop here and go and read all the silly tags that flood our chatbox! :D hey it's an improvement, people are beginning to use their real names.

A few months later, the guy came back, and the carp-killer quickly picked a random carp to please the guy. The guy, after seeing the fish, thought it seemed a little bigger, but took no notice and continued giving the carp-killer money to rear the fish.
Why did a very very clever ancient China guy think the carp-killer was telling the truth?
The guy had something for the carp-killer, thinking he would never lie to him, and kill the fish.

Well, the farewell night was great. I mean it. My regrets are that i didn't take photos of most people. Actually, since we're all leaving Concord, all the more we should blog on the class blog. As Kimberly has said that the blog is seriously dead,so I decided to let it breathe again(without the help of breathing tube).Yesterday,when we started to throw the mortar hat,all of that started landing on my head and my own flew very far away and landed on mrs lee's feet(which i think it is).I only recognise it by the many scotch tape,staple bullets and crumpled paper of mine.

I had to point this out to a dozen other people. So,this is how it goes.
1) Type your various compos.
2) Attach and send to either TIFFANY or FIONA. (Unless you don't have their emails then I can send it to them for you.)
3) They send to either ME or JUN HUI.
The reason behind step no. 2 is that they edit for grammar before we publish. Certain compos aren't marked for grammar if I remember correctly. ~~Since your compo is already here, I'll forward it.~~ Just to remind you, all compos that 'qualify' are above 28(full compos) and 16(content). Unfortunately, all compos that 'qualify' MUST be entered. Please help spread the message because I'm sick and tired of repeating myself. Questions can be directed to either me, Jun Hui, Tiffany or Fiona.

these few days are 'very critical'. Yeah.
I mean, since we have studied so much does it hurt not to study for the last fews days?
Isn't this called 平时不烧香, 临时抱佛脚. but we 平时有 '烧香' what. so if we study now, we might like, forget everything we memorised and wrote letters to Mrs R about. I sincerely advise everyone to erm... ~~relax this few days~~STUDY STUDY STUDY. (in case any teacher or *gulp* principal reads this). =D
Anyway, you know we have some homework right? Only the maths WS. i think. CHildren's day was superb. Mrs R's cake was the best! and i saved on protractors as Mrs Ang gave us one each. Yay. I love Mrs R's book too!
Speaking about Mrs R, tell you something funny. (do i sound a 'lil like Mrs R herself?) When i turned on the computer to do science yesterday, my dad thought i was going to play and said "hey! turn it off or i tell Mrs... Mrs... Padma." i mean, i told him straight in the f ace that Ms Padma was (or is it 'is'?) my P3 teacher. He said "er... Mrs Mooma, Mrs Rama, Mrs Raja, Mrs... MAMA!... er..."

Speaking of cancelled, anyone received the STUPID chain mail? Despite the BBC news thingy, I still don't believe it. I think I don't believe it because when MSN wants you to know something, they'll send it through their OWN email, and not ask some random passer-by to send it as a horribly irritating chain mail.
Oh well-o wellington boot. I'm having a Malties kick again. I can't stop eating them. Although I have to agree that chocolate tastes better.
Oh yay. Here comes cousin. Who cares. It's not my office that's opening, it's my dads. I don't have the responsibility to entertain the guests. Seriously.
